Here’s my office… geek la ville :D
[thumb:1682:l] This is the current love of my work life. My 30″ screen and as you can see, when it’s in screen saver mode, I get a good view of some pacific island beach. My machine, or my Mac, is a super computer. It’s got everything plus 8 gigs or ram and who knows what fast processor it’s got. It’s very nice but sometimes I find it still lagging. I’m not sure what it is that’s causing it. But in this machine I have the typical Apache and it’s family running and also a ColdFusion server. I run Joomla locally and I can work and view my CF pages on my Mac. I also have all the version of Adobe since version 7 to CS3. There are tons of cool free software too, like Adium, Cyberduck, etc. installed. And oh, I can share files between the Mac and the PC :D My PC is nice too but since the Mac is only a few months old compare to a two year old PC I’m a bit partial :D

The next thing I love is my Wacom drawing pad [thumb:1680:r] which has been extremely wonderful on my right hand. I don’t get the regular thumb arthritis pain feel (as least that’s how I imagine arthritis to be) and I feel more relaxed when I’m working on some art work. I’m not the best artist but I am on the computer often and designing websites need a little bit of creativity.

Then there’s the famous “Savitri Pile” [thumb:1679:l] where it’s not really messy but you can’t say that they’re put away. I also have a recyle pile. I really need to take this pile out of my office. They’ve been siting there for months. Since early summer or late spring actually. Ha ha… yes, that’s how much paper and boxes I’ve accumulate. I try to use very little or reuse them… maybe as little notepads. [thumb:1672:r] Then I have my whiz bangs… I can’t live without my HP IPAQ and even though I don’t use it much, I have an iPod. Work bought it for me. I do use it for that; I just don’t use it to entertain myself much.

I do have things like a bookcase and a peg board. [thumb:1681:l][thumb:1678:l] I love the bookcase. It’s not much but it keeps all my babies organized. I love books and I use them a lot daily. I can’t do without Googling something or another but the books I have are as resourceful. I’m not sure how much you can see but I don’t use my board much. I could have done without it but it’s stuck to the wall, literally. So instead of a big ugly rectangle mark with two holes on it, I rather look at a board that’s somewhat used looking.
