Of course after you get a new computer you install all if not most of your apps soon after. I really don’t need Microsoft Office but since we got it from hubby’s work for $20 (home use program), why not. The apps I do need are: Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver (it’s nice to work in education, education prices are so much less for Adobe products). I use the other apps in the CS4 Adobe Suite but not as much as the ones I mentioned. I purchased my laptop from B&H. It was cheaper for me than buying from Apple, even with the student discount, due to tax. Also, B&H included Parallel with the purchase. Not bad!
I am now up and running again. Goodness, you never know how good you’ve got it in terms of technology until all your computers break down on the same week! My iMac is ok again. I need to pick it up from the Apple store.

Savitri doesn’t have a laptop. The one she uses is work’s. So after plugging in some numbers into Turbotax I figured that I have enough refund to get me a new one. After looking, pondering, looking, pondering, looking, pondering… you get the picture… I finally went and got the fastest 13″ laptop that Apple has to offer right now. I was flip-flopping between this and the 15″ but after visiting the Apple store a few times and thinking about all the stuff I’d be carrying I opted for the 13″. I have a desktop already and I do want something light to travel with. I would have gone with a netbook if it had more memory but due to my needs for power I went ahead and paid a little bit more.

This girl has a play house and a bed tent but she still likes to make her own in the living room. She got this from her daddy. Drew liked to make his own tent too when he was a little boy.

This is the joy of having children. Although I get plenty of great laughs from Drew (until my stomach hurts) M sometimes beat him in the funny department. The great part about her is that they’re unexpected. Just like that night when she came out of her room looking like this.
This was Saturday night and she wanted to stay up late and party. I said ok, party we shall. So we went to WalMart and picked up some chips, drinks, and other snacks. I told her we could do whatever she wanted. So we played school, we did some craft time, and when I told her I was going to clean up my mess she did this change or wardrobe.
A giggle did come out of my mouth but I managed to hold my composure and told her that she looked like an artist. I think she looked adorable. Just not quite the clothing combo I was expecting. We did though partied like a rock star: music, air guitar, and dancing while Drew and Jovie slept.
