Emma got this mailbox from Hobby Lobby. As soon as we got home she went into the craft room and started coloring.

Day 59: Tent

by: Savitri

M's Tent

This girl has a play house and a bed tent but she still likes to make her own in the living room. She got this from her daddy. Drew liked to make his own tent too when he was a little boy.

Day 58: Rock Star?

by: Savitri

Rock Star

This is the joy of having children. Although I get plenty of great laughs from Drew (until my stomach hurts) M sometimes beat him in the funny department. The great part about her is that they’re unexpected. Just like that night when she came out of her room looking like this.

This was Saturday night and she wanted to stay up late and party. I said ok, party we shall. So we went to WalMart and picked up some chips, drinks, and other snacks. I told her we could do whatever she wanted. So we played school, we did some craft time, and when I told her I was going to clean up my mess she did this change or wardrobe.

A giggle did come out of my mouth but I managed to hold my composure and told her that she looked like an artist. I think she looked adorable. Just not quite the clothing combo I was expecting. We did though partied like a rock star: music, air guitar, and dancing while Drew and Jovie slept.

Day 55: Curly Girl

by: Savitri

Before bed..

M: Mommy, will you braid my hair?
Me: Now?
M: Yes
Me: Why?
M: So I can wake up and have curly hair
Me: Ooooh… sure, grab me some hair pieces to tie the ends
M: Ok, but I want four of them
Me: Sure

This morning…

M: (waltzing in to my bedroom) Tada…
Me: Whooooo, look at you fancy girl
M: Do you like it?
Me: I LOVE it!!
M: (GIGANTIC smile)

In the car…

Me: (Almost to school) Why are you not sitting back?
M: I don’t want to ruin my hair
Me: (Rolled eyes) Oh, M…

Driving home… hair still curly by the way (I was quite surprised!)…

Me: Did your friends like your hair?
M: Yes, they liked it (kind of monotonous)
Me: Nice!
M: (Enthusiastically) I love my hair, mommy. I kept wanting to look at myself in the mirror and go ooooh, aaaaah, so beautiful!!!
Me: (Burst out laughing) Oh, my Memers Ann (just one of my other names for her), you make me laugh
M: (Giggles) I love it when you laugh, mommy, and when you call me Memers Ann
Me: (Still laughing)You make me laugh, Emma
M: I know (giggles), can we braid my hair again tonight?
Me: Sure, why not

Day 53: Feeding the Pups

by: Savitri

That’s Miss M’s job. She said she wants a Chihuahua and we told her she needs to grow up some before that and in the mean time learn to care for a dog by feeding and picking up poo if there’s ever an accident. The feeding has been hit and miss at times and although the first poo picking time was quite dramatic she’s now ok with it. Our dogs have little poo anyways because they eat good food. If you’re interested we give Shady Canidae Senior and Max Orijen. There’s a less expensive version of Orijen, it’s called Acana. Same company and similar ingredients. The difference is in the amount of meat. So far Max is doing well with it. He’s got the itchies. The grain does it. When we get to the UK we’ll have to switch to a different food. I think I’ve found one that’s similar to what Max eats. We’ll just have to try it out. We can get Acana there but it’s quite a bit more.
