Day 139: Bike City

by: Savitri

Cambridge

I am still married, btw. After yesterday’s photo I was so sure, ha!!

Today was a GORGEOUS day here in the UK and we went to check out Cambridge again. We went to the market and just hung out in the town center area. Cambridge was busy, busy, busy. I don’t think Cambridge ever quiets down. The last time we were there it was in the middle of the week and the city center was hopping too. Cambridge is bike town. I think all the kids here has a bike. They are EVERYWHERE. I wondered, in some really busy bike parking lot, how people know which is which. Some areas they were just stacked on top of each other!!

In Cambridge we visited the Saturday market and arts and crafts booths. We got some homemade soup and a stamp. Yes, I couldn’t resist. It was handmade and very cool! The soap we got was interesting too. I’ll have to grab it and share the info with you some other time but we got these seeds that are good for washing clothes. Weird but it’s green so we’re going to try it out. Deep inside we’re a bunch of hippies he he…

For lunch we had some Danish pastries filled with veggies and meat. It’s similar to a chicken pot pie. Very good!!

The town center has all sorts of shops. Some familiar stores were: Apple, Build-a-Bear , Gap, L’Occitane, MAC, ECCO, Starbucks, and oh yes, McDonalds.

Before we left we stopped at Argos to pick-up our order. It was quite interesting and I think it’s only in the UK!

We had a great time with the family!!
